This song was written around the title. I think we were playing around with it and had the basic chords and structure and I kept singing that same chorus. It's meant to be about a cartoon called The Rainbow Superfriends - it's the theme song to it as well. It's about a pair or a group of rainbow superfriends who are, coincidentally, rainbow superfriends with each other and they always will be too also.

As far as a bigger-picture lyrical aspect: the world is a big stage and we're chewing up the scenery should be the focus lyric I think... It's a cynical point of view for the current cultural climate. We're all very publicly living our lives. Live streaming breakups, forcing babies to grow up in an cyber hybrid reality where every day of their lives is logged and documented... Sometimes it feels like everybody's life has become a big PR campaign.
